Thank you for visiting the online home of Salem Lutheran Church! If your only connection with us is online, we hope the material here will encourage you to find out more about Christ and the Church that calls him Lord and gathers to worship and serve him. If you are in the Salisbury, NC area (between Charlotte and Greensboro in North Carolina’s Piedmont) we hope you will find your way to us, so you can have a more meaningful relationship with us than the online experience. You are always welcome here at Salem.

Salem is a member of the North American Lutheran Church (NALC) and the Lutheran Churches in Mission for Christ (LCMC).  The NALC is a fast-growing Christian church body in the Lutheran tradition, uniting more than 100,000 Lutherans in more than 300 congregations across North America. The LCMC is made up of over 600 congregations across the United States. The NALC and the LCMC embody the theological center of Lutheranism in North America and stand firmly within the global Lutheran mainstream.

The NALC and the LCMC are committed to the authority of the Bible as the inspired Word of God. In keeping with the Lutheran Confessions, we believe all doctrines should and must be judged by the teaching of Scripture.
Salem, as well as our denomination, embraces the following four core values which shape our common life: Christ-Centered, Mission-Driven, Traditionally-Grounded, and Congregationally-Focused. We are a church centered on the unique Gospel of Jesus Christ, animated by missions and evangelism, grounded in the 2,000 year tradition of Christian faith, and organized chiefly to serve our congregations.

The NALC is a renewed Lutheran community moving forward in faith, focused on living out Christ’s Great Commission to go and make disciples in North America and around the globe. If you would like to find out more about the NALC, please see the website at www.thenalc.org or visit Salem to find out more.
